The Wandering Students
Pernilla Peacock
Let me introduce Myself! I have just graduated from Durham University with a degree in Modern Languages and Cultures, specialising in French and Spanish.

As my degree suggests, as a linguist, I have a thirst for experiencing different cultures and learning new languages, and objectively the best way to do this is through travel.

After spending countless occasions exploring different websites searching for travel tips, I found that despite providing valuable material, there is a lack of advice regarding how to visit such places whilst travelling on a modest budget. Therefore, I decided to start "The Wandering Students", a platform for students to share their experiences and tips, all with the aim of sticking to an economical budget and exploring off the beaten track.

Rosie Beckwith Smith
Hey, I’m Rosie a Theology graduate from Durham University with a passion for writing and globe-trotting.
I have always relished in these two pastimes separately: spending my summers scraping together loose change in order to jet off abroad, and scribbling freelance opinion pieces as and when I can be bothered.
However, it struck me after swanning around Andalucia last summer that I should combine my two loves and create something of a travel tips, student summer advice, budgeting handbook with just enough wit and good advice to see you through summer.
